Open Monument Day

The Open Monument Day takes place annually throughout Germany on the second Sunday in September.

The aim of the Open Monument Day is to raise public awareness of the importance of cultural heritage and to arouse interest in the concerns of monument preservation. The central message "Preserving monuments together" also aims to encourage everyone to remain committed to architectural heritage.
